Rolling technique determines draw, burn, and structural integrity. The torcedor arranges filler with strongest-flavoured leaves centre and milder outside, creating flavour evolution as the cigar is smoked. The bunch is wrapped in binder, pressed, then wrapped in the wrapper with a spiral motion.
The ritual of smoking, including cutting, lighting, and unhurried contemplation over forty-five minutes to two hours, enforces attention the modern world rarely permits. The cigar demands present-moment awareness; it cannot be rushed or multitasked.
